I have many friends who are very liberal Democtats. I have to endure on a daily basis verbal jabs, vieled insults and outright hatred aimed at me and those who have the same political opinions.
When I do respond I am basically told that I don't have the right to condemn them for their beliefs and that I should shutup and keep my opinions to myself.
Is this the norm among mainstream Democrats or am I stuck in an enclave of Democrats who wish for a totalerian/socialist government?

Unfortunately yes to both of your questions.
I grew up on the left coast and have only 2 friends from my high school days--both ex-bfs, and both conservatives with conservative wives. One is in Iraq now, (as is my hubby, God bless them). The other had to go into business for himself when he, his wife, and her brother all got laid off from the same firm on the same day "to be fair." They're doing okay now, though, and refused to go on government assistance.
Find some new friends! Dems are NOT the majority they think they are--they're just a lot louder! LOL

thats the norm. They are like the whimpy kids in school that told the teacher and ate the paste. They need Government to take care of all their problems and protect everyone from any possible bullies.

you have just figured this out,liberals believe in do as i say,not as i do,practice what we liberals preach,but we do not practice what we preach,your right to free speech,will be attacked,but you can not question their speech liberal/democrats,are communist tyrants,just waiting for their policy's against the American nation to bear fruit,and bring about the defeat of are great nation,do not be fooled my Friend the end is near if you do not bring to light the intentions of the democrat/liberal party,and by the grace of god we can stop them!

I do not understand how that works but it does. All my friends think I am a conservative when I Think both liberals and conservatives tend to not let others believe in peace.

dems are idiots.since bush is following a "failed policy"in iraq,shouldn't dems admit their failed policy of using the troop funding bill as a political tool and quit that too?
