I love Southern rock. One of the best concerts I've ever seen was Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, and Hank Williams Jr. I'm also a big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn, he was incredible, RIP. Classic rock is my fave genre, though. Led Zeppelin was the best.

Southern rock by a mile, especially the Allman Brothers. It has a way of making you feel the music, gets down in the soul. If you want to hear a newer band along those lines, check out the Drive-By Truckers.

This is going to sound strange, but neither. I grew up on glam rock bands such as Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Poison, etc...One band that really disappointed me was Skid Row--I thought they were the perfect band until egos got in the way; they had so much potential.
As a musical artist myself, I am currently writing material to record early next year under the name Project: Dynamis. I have decided to put all of my rock collection under lock and key (sorry, Dokken), and now only listen to classical and baroque. I do not want any external influence on how this album is going to sound, and I want a peaceful environment as well, even if the lyrics may not reflect it...

Southern rock.
Ew. I hate all those new bands.
I actually like one Blink-182 song. (Owe, that was embarassing)
I only like a few of todays bands.
Why is it that talent isn't as easy to find anymore?

I'd much rather listen to some Southern Rock.
But it just depends on my mood....sometimes when the older songs come on I feel like I've heard them way too many times and need to hear some fresh music.
