I am looking for a nice casual italian restaurant in Las Vegas, would be best if located on the strip (inside a hotel or in the street), with good food but not the fancy type. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

I like Carluccio's which is not too far from the strip (You'd need to take a cab) or Battista's Hole in the Wall is an old school Vegas favorite which is right off the strip and within walking distance from Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd.

Maggiano's is great, too. It's adjacent to the Fashion Show Mall but it is a chain restaurant. They have them in Denver, Chicago and other cities around the country.

I also agree that Olive's is great but not traditional Italian and also not a Vegas original (The one in Manhattan is fantastic!)

I live in Las Vegas and often take visitors to Olives at the Bellagio.

It has a nice view of the water show (try to get an outside table).

The prices are a slightly higher than casual Italian but you are paying for the ambiance,

The BEST Italian restaurant in Vegas is not on the Strip. Nora's Cuisine is on Flamingo Rd, about 3 miles west of the Strip. This place is AWESOME! And well worth the cab ride.

A second vote for Battista's Hole in the Wall.

Great food, great service. They also have an accordian player wandering around. He has been there since the begining of time.

I live here and love it.
Sorry to say Tomatoes are no good.
Hard water and pasta is not the same as in the other parts if the US.
You will be disappointed in what you visit.
Stay with local flavor.

Just do not have the resources to make a great dinner.

But I do love my environement. Have to make concessions at times.
