Ok my name is Toni, I am 14 years old.

I am kind of scared because I haven't had my period since the 17th of April and now its the 28th of May. I usually have my periods at the end of the month but lately it has been coming earlier and earlier every week. But i am thinking that maybe it is balancing its self out. I haven't had any sexual relations at all the past month.

Can someone please just give me some relief as to what is going on because I have never had a late period it has always been the same.

Help D:

You will not be "normal" for the first few years of menstruation.

I'm actually 20 and I've had this problem. I've never been pregnant, but I've had scares just like this. Are you under any stress? Usually when I'm under stress my period will change around and be a few days late or change the time of the month that it decides to arrive in. Take it easy...it's only 11 days late. You might just skip a month. Most would say that it's because you're young and you're not regular yet, but I've been regular from day one. Try relaxing...it'll probably come in your sleep some night. That could be another thing...are you getting enough sleep? I accept emails...let me know how it goes. :)

If you have been sexually active in the last 3 months, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative tell you mom about this problem, she may have had similar experiences when she start her periods. If necessary, make an appointment with a doctor. If its positive, get advice on how to tell you family.

If you are sexually active, you need to use birth control every time. Use condoms, and another method. If you can't afford a doctor, go the health nurse or family planning clinic.

If you haven't had sex, then you are not pregnant. Have you been dieting and exercising like a maniac? That could be the reason. Lots of female athletes and the thin models don't get periods either.

Your young. Your period takes a few years to regulate itself out. Its just your body adjusting to the new thing that is your period. Don't worry so much. No one has a normal period at that age
