There have probably been too many to name so I will do the current all-overrated team for the 2007 season.

C: Jason Kendall - Poor OBP, AVG, and power numbers are almost non-existent (yes I know he is not a power hitter but catcher had been traditionally a position of some power).
1B: Lance Niekro - There is a reason he doesn't start. One of the worst batters eye in the business. Can't hit the off-speed and defense is only avg.
2B: Josh Barfield - Not a bad overall player but highly overrated offensively. Low OBP and sturggles mightily in the American League.
SS: Michael Young - Here is the product of having one great year (2006). Bad avg and a loss of power. Strikes out a lot for someone who won a batting title.
3B: Wilson Bettemit - Already heading down to AAA. Was supposed to be the answer to LAD 3B problems. Shaky defense at best and the only time he hits is coming off the bench, not an everyday player.
OF: Bobby Abreu - No longer a slump, just another overpaid player. Can't get on base and thats what he is getting paid to do.
OF: Jacque Jones - Simply not the same hitter he was in Minnesota. Low battting avg and only 1 HR.
OF: Ryan Langerhans - Touted to be the next great ATL outfielder. Fundemental batting skills were lacking, so he was traded. Terrible OBP
SP: Anthony Reyes - No wins and league leader in losses. No run support on a team with Albert Pujols. Can't find the strike zone.
CP: Salomon Torres - Started off well but started sputtering towards May, hasn't recorded a SV in almost 3 weeks, and not because they haven't given him the opportunity.

You must be a moron anyone who says Rickey Henderson, Dennis Eckersley are overrated doesn't know anything about baseball. Also including Ernie Banks and Cal Ripken JR as overrated please thats just retarded. Were you hit on the head too many times in high school? All these players being listed most of them I'm just laughing at. Just because you don't like a certain player doesn't mean that they're overrated. Huston Street has 69 career saves and lifetime batting average against Street is .209 that's not bad at all for a closer. His is better then Rivera's who is at .214 for his career. It's only streets 3rd year in the major leagues. His Rookie year 1.72 era and .194 batting average against.

Rich Harden may have a difficult time staying healthy but ask any player the major leagues when he is health he's nearly unhittable. As far as overrated players here's my list.

1. Ichiro Right Field (he's supposed to have tremendous power in batting practice yet all he does is hit singles, Boring!
2. Adrian Beltre Third Base one really good year brings him the cash but look at what he's been doing ever since he became a Mariner nothing even remotely close to that year.
3. Derek Jeter Short Stop He was always the background player on the team he was never the actually the star that carried the team whether Yankees fans agree or not look at the players that they had through out the years and it's no wonder why Jeter hits for that average, he has a below average arm now and even though he still there he should have been moved to second base for A-Rod who's by far superior defender then Jeter is.
4. Kelly Johnson second base he's extremely overrated just because he had one good month the Braves think he'll do it through out the year I don't see it.
5. Doug Mientkiewicz First Base he can't hit worth a lick the Yankees think that he's the savior for A-Rod so he doesn't make as many errors at third here's a though move him back to his natural position of short stop and move Jeter. At least A-Rod can still throw the ball from short where Jeter can't.
6. Jorge Posada I don't really need to go over why but he doesn't throw out runners very well, has never developed a pitcher from the minor leagues, he's only good for his offense.
7. Corey Patterson Center Field he was supposed to be a great centerfielder coming up with the Cubs, yet he still strikes out way too much he can make some plays, but he could have been great yet he never managed to bring in his talent and realize it.
8. Jay Gibbons another Oriole who makes the list he has all the ability to hit for power but he never makes any adjustments at the plate and strikes out way too much.
9. Now it's time for the 5 overrated starting pitchers
a. Roger Clemens if he was younger he wouldn't be on the list because he was a great pitcher in his prime and last year but this year he's older and he's not going to do so well. I see him winning 5-7 games this year.
b. Mark Buehrle at times he can be a great pitcher and he has the stuff to be a 20 game winner like Corey Patterson he has never tapped into that he may have had the no hitter this year but he still has a ERA of 3.86
C. Erwin Santana he has the stuff and the ability to win 15-20 games a year but he's really struggled this year and the Angels are even looking to trade him
D. Dice-K he's never pitched in the United States and he's been mediocre since he arrived here. Personally I don't see what all the hype is in regards to him. With the Red Sox offense thats the only reason why he has 7 wins he is not at all that impressive as what he was made out to be.
E. Mike Mussina he has lost it he should have retired at the end of 2006. He's nowhere near where he used to be and he doesn't have the stuff anymore.

For Closing pitchers
1. Brad Lidge his job got taken away again he needs a fresh start somewhere else
2. Chris Ray he's blown plenty of saves this year
3. Bobby Jenks just too much hype
4. Rivera he's old he's only got 3 saves this year it's his time to retire too.
5. Joe Borowski he may lead the league in saves but his average against isn't too impressive which means that he gets hit and more then likely soon he'll start blowing more saves then saving games.

1B would be Mark McGwire, probably due to steroids. Yes, he was a great homerun hitter, but that is all he did. Did not knock in a lot of runs, hit a lot of solo shots, and was not a great defensive player, not could he run, even when he wasn't on steroids early in his career.

2B would be Roberto Alomar. Okay, he could do it all for your team, but not really when they needed it. He was on a lot of Cleveland teams which made the playoffs, but notice none of them won the WS, and while you can blame a lot of other players for that, Alomar never was heard to come up big in a clutch spot.

SS would have to be Phil Rizzuto. Okay, he won a lot of World Series with the Yankees, but look at the other players on those teams. While he played a good defensive shortstop, was a good hitter, and a very nice guy, almost any other serviceable shortstop could have played on some of those teams and they would have won.

3B would be Ron Santo. Sorry Cubs fans, but if I have to read another person tell me he should make the hall of fame for putting up good, but not great, numbers I'm going to scream. He's a very nice man, and maybe a great announcer and ambassador for the game, but not that good a player.

OF would start with Ted Williams. Okay, every baseball fan over 50 claims he had the best swing they ever saw, and maybe he did, and he put up good numbers, but Boston won one pennant while he was a Red Sox, plus he was not a great defensive player. I say this because many consider him one of the five best players of all time, and I don't think he's close.

I would make Ty Cobb the second outfielder, and I think Cobb was great. However, for all of his hitting ability, he was also not a great fielder, and he only won two pennants with no world series wins. Also did not make his teammates all that much better.

Finally, I would throw in Ralph Kiner, and I also like Kiner. All he did was hit homeruns, and the Pittsburgh and Chicago teams he played for never contended for any league titles.

At catcher, I would go with Mike Piazza. Again, great numbers but he really couldn't throw, and while he could occasionally be clutch, has also never won a world series, and has been in the playoffs sparringly.

Nolan Ryan would head the rotation. Yes, he struck out more players than anyone else, and pitched a long time. He lost too many games, took too long into his career to learn some control, and only won a world series as a complimentary pticher for the 1969 Mets.

Don Sutton would also be in the rotation. Another 300 game winner who you can't tell me what big game he won. Also, never contended seriously for the Cy Young in his career.

If I had to put a lefty in the rotation, I would have to throw Sandy Koufax in there, and again while he dominated for five or six years, he was only really great a very short period of time, and does not deserve the almost univeral acclimation he recevies as the greatest lefty to pitch as I think Steve Carlton and Warren Spahn are more derserving

The reliever would be John Franco. John Franco may have accumulated a lot of saves, but was never all that threatening a presense, and was hard to watch as he always seemed on the verge of blowing one.

1B: Morneau
2B: Utley
3B: Beltre
C: Mauer (the catcher is the person your team cant afford to lose and with 3 leg injuries and many small leg problems, this is very bad for a catcher and worse for a guy that needs speed, he's very good now but people really should stop saying hes going to be the best catcher ever seeing how hes going to need to switch positions at this rate)
SS: Hanley ramirez (Stolen bases are crap and mean almost nothing i would have said derek jeter because he is a league average fielder with 2 gold gloves the past 2 years but hes too good a hitter to have on this list)
LF: Adam Dunn (awful)
CF: Coco Crisp (moved to boston and his hitting fell apart)
RF: Jeff Francoeur (Has yet to have a an OBP .350 or above)

SP: Barry Zito (Why not)
SP: Anibel Sanchez (he shouldn't have even had the perfect game, there was a very tough play for Cabrera to make and they charged him with a very unfair error.
SP: Scott Kazmir (Inconsistant with pitch location and gets too deep into counts thus pitching limited innings)
SP: Eric Bedard (See Scott Kazmir)
SP: Rich Harden (Lets see him pitch 30 games for the second time in his career...no? ok how about 20)
CL: Huston Street (17 blown saves in 86 opportunities is not what I would call "lights out")

C - Paul LoDuca (he is a shell of his former all-star self. Past his prime and not a hustle-type player he used to be) (runner-up: Ivan Rodriguez)

1B - Richie Sexson (Year in and year out, this guy underachieves. Don't get me wrong, I like him as much as the next guy, but a career .266 hitter just doesn't cut it, even if he does have nearly 300 HRs) (runner-up: Paul Konerko)

2B - Robinson Cano (The guy is simply not cutting it. 2 HRs and .260 BA in the Big Apple isn't good enough, especially with only 1 SB. He may be young but he is WAY over hyped) (Runner-up: Howie Kendrick)

SS - Derek Jeter (I simply don't like the guy. He has no power, his defense is deteriorating. If it weren't for his "clutchness" he wouldn't have anything. Plus, he was voted as most overrated by the MLB players, and I think they know what they are talking about) (Runner-up: Miguel Tejada)

3B - Scott Rolen (This guy is only 31 and is past his prime. He should just be coming into his own. Defense is fine but can't hit a lick.) (Runner-up: Alex Gordon)

LF - Melky Cabrera (The Yankees thought this guy was good enough to let Sheffield walk? Ha! His .219 average says otherwise.) (Runner-up: Pat Burrell)

CF - Andruw Jones (His average and K rate are just too much to look past. He hits for good pop, but not much else. GREAT as a defender as well.) (Runner-Up: Jim Edmonds)

RF - JD Drew (Boston HAS to regret picking this guy up! Lots of money, not much production. 2 HRs and .234 aveage for the coin that he makes??? Ouch!) (Runner-up: Jermaine Dye)

DH - Jason Giambi ('Roid-head! 'nuff said!) (Runner-up: Frank Thomas)

SP - Jeff Weaver (Nice signing by Seattle to get 14.00 ERA from a World Series hero. They should have noticed his numbers BEFORE the playoffs last year to see what the guy is really like. A HUGE waste of money!) (Runner-up: Anthony Reyes)

RP - Mariano Rivera (Obviously past his prime. he isn't cutting the mustard in the Big Apple this year and what is worse, they aren't getting to the point to use him in save situations. It's sad to see how far he has fallen!) (Runner-up: Joe Borowski)

Most underrated???
C - Victor Martinez
1B - Nick Swisher
2B - Brian Roberts
SS - JJ Hardy / Hanley Ramirez
3B - Ryan Braun
LF - Matt Holliday
CF - Hunter Pence
RF - Reggie Willits
DH - Jack Cust
SP - Sean Marshall
RP - Al Reyes
