Well, that sucks!

I spent 7 bucks to have it delievered also.

Never knew someone had to sign for a track and confirm, I guess I know now.

They should've kept it at their PO instead of sending it back to mine.

Oh well!

Sounds like you sent something that the receiver had to sign for...and nobody was there when they attempted to deliver. Try calling the delivery service's 800 number to get more details. The recipient should have gotten a notice, but you may want to call and alert them too.

Your info is rather confusing. The info you gave does not say the USPS is returning the parcel to you at this time. It says that if the package is unclaimed, then it will be returned to you.

Normally, the USPS will leave another PS3849 form at the addressee's address in about 5 more days. If the parcel is unclaimed 14 days from the original attempt then it will be returned to you.

If in the opinion of the letter carrier if there was not a safe place to leave the 'Delivery Confirmation' parcel they return it to the post office. If you paid for 'Signature Confirmation', then the addressee has to sign for it. If there is a safe place to leave the parcel when no one is home, the recipient can sign the back of PS 3849, noting on the back of the form the day they want the package to be delivered, and the place at their home where they want the package left.

That means they attempted to deliver the package, there was no one home, they left note on the person door or in their mailbox. If you had sent it requesting a signature on delivery and no one was home to sign for it, they automatically take it back to the post office. The person now has to call to have another delivery made or simply go get it.

Perhaps you were not available to recieve the package. Go to the post office, with the notice and pick up your package. There may be a signature required that does not allow for delivery if noone is home.
