It will do neither basically because no one except possibly Bonds himself gives a damn.

I'm with chad, I could care less how many HR Bonds hits, Hammerin' Hank will always hold that record until someone comes along and breaks his record while staying clean. No harm done to the game, but no help either. Although I do have to give Barry credit where credit is due, it does take an enormous amount of skill to do what he has done, but he wouldn't be at the number he's at without the roids. No matter anyways, A-Rod will hit 800.

It will not hurt or help baseball. The record will be broken and his name will go into the record books but most people won't recognize it a legit record. People will discuss for years whether it was legit or not. The damage that steroids has done to baseball is done and we have seen the worst. Now its just clean up time to keep the faithful fans here.

I doubt if it will help now hurt.
People who love the game of baseball understand that he is just there for himself and not a team player nor does he give a hoot about the fans.
As long as a Cal Ripkins or a George Brett that comes along every so often who loves the fans and the game baseball will survive even with arrogant, selfish, *** munchers like bonds playing.

It will crush baseball, no one wants to see a man who was on steroids (whether he knew or not, there is physical evidence that says he was definately on steroids) break the home run kings record. Incase people didn't know steroids are cheating! I don't plan on being in attendence any place the day that he hits the record or breaks it. By the way there is still one person who stands in the way of the record...Josh Gibson a ***** league player who had over 800 homeruns in his career...and he was a catcher!

It will hurt it because it will tell the world -especially the little kids of the world - that cheating DOES have value.
After this major crime against baseball is commited ; How the hell is any coach anywhere going to be able to look at any kid in the eye and honestly tell them that "Winners don't cheat and Cheaters don't win " The kid's going to look back and say "Yeah well how do you explain Barry Bonds coach ? "So W.C . Fields was right after all " If it's worth having it's worth cheating for."

Baseball what is this word??? oh yeah there use to be a game called that, I stopped watching when only the teams with the deep pockets can afford the good players.
Baseball needs a salary cap like football so any team can have a shot at the title

It is another record or milestone broken.
Pete Rose great and all time hit record holder. Cannot enjoy due to circumstances. Bonds will always be criticized like Rose.
I will look forward to the moment.
M. Maguire did enhancing performance synthetics. He broke a record. So what. Done.
Someone will pass him.
We have to focus on the game and not each individual.
Thank you can I have a BA.

I don't think it will really hurt baseball, but i don't think he deserves the record. However, he'll get the record eventally, but Hank Aaron will still be the HR King; he didn't use steroids!
