If Parcels was still the coach I would go with Barber. Jones got the yards but Barber got the TDs. I don't know if the new coach is going to do the same thing.

This is the same as Thomas Jones or Cedric Benson? And u see which way the bears went. Huge mistake. Jones carried that team in the NFC championship. Huge pickup for the Jets. Depends on what u want in a running back. But what i think it comes down to is who can give u the best chance to put u in the endzone in the redzone. That would be Barber who can break tackles and has the patience to follow his blockers, but also has the speed to get up the field.

Marion Barber no doubt yea jones is faster but Barber's pretty fast too Barbers just like Jamal Lewis was in 2003 he wasn't so fast but he was strong as hell he had 2066 rushing yards that year 2nd on the all time list for a single year behind Eric Dickerson!!!!

I think neither one would be as productive as a single back in Dallas' offense. They both have a lot of talent, and work well in tandem. If Barber were asked to carry the ball every running play, he wouldn't be as fresh for those crucial short yardage and goal line carries... but if Jones were taking the pounding in tight, perhaps he wouldn't be as ready to break off a long run at any point in the field.
Both are good, and if I had to pick only one of them, I would take Barber, but neither will be as productive alone as both of them working together.

Julius Jones is better athletically and has better speed, but Barber is bigger and can pound it in. They should use a one two punch to get it done. Julius Jones is the starter though because he is better.

well they are both great RBs. They should use Jones to get into the redzone because he is faster and better as a cutback runner and can find the holes in the line. Then use Barber to pound the ball into the end zone because he is more powerful..

i think of Barber is the extra helpful back and can get nearly all of the consists of; even however, i don't think of JJ might desire to be taken out of the activity plan fullyyt. he's a good finesse substitute-as much as Barber's not elementary-nosed style. keeps oppopsing D's on their feet. no might desire to pass far flung from the two-back equipment, purely provide Barber extra consists of.

Jones. He's the workhorse, he wears down the front 7.

But both their roles fit perfectly for them.
