Your isp may have throttled you down, your neighbor may be using your wifi, your router buffer might be full (reboot it), you might have p2p software on your system (that free music isn't free, you know) or somone might have turned you into a zombie to distribute spam. There is nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with your puter.

Could be any number of things. Like Robb said, some ISPs (only the bad ones) will throttle your internet useage for excessive downloading. More likely, though, if you are on a network, someone else might be using all the bandwidth either intentionally or without their own knowledge. Also, if the network is wireless, make sure it is secured with a WEP encryption key so that other people can't get on your network and steal your bandwidth.

download trackeraser pro. run that .. erase all the histroy and cookies etc. etc. if you have firefox on the url bar type about:config and then on filters enter network . scroll down and find network pipe lining dubble click on it to change the status to true from false..and below network pipelineing there should be number between 1 - 10 if the number is below 10 then dubble click on that and change the value to 10 and then restart firefox. mail me if you have any more questions.. hassan_od@hotmail.com

Your ISP has probably throttled you for excessive usage. It happens when you download more than they want you to...
