Yes, I have tried other catergories. The last question I asked, I ended up asking it in three catergories. The first 2 were no help, and actually received rude comments. So I finally asked P/S, and received more helpful and nicer responses.....

Yes, I answer questions in a handful of different sections, a lot more than I ask questions. I think the intellectual interaction is fun. I also though, ask my share of questions. I love to hear other peoples thoughts, views and opinions. I don't really care about how many points I accumulate. To me, interaction is worth more than a silly point system, that really doesn't mean anything. Interaction with people is what really matters, not points.

Yes; sometimes I need to ask a question in a category where I might not want to read "I don't know, but thanks for the 2 points" or "Your mom!!", or "not me!" 20 times, and not get an answer I want!!

Yup..I've asked about my car in the auto section and a couple other "real" questions that I thought would be better asked in a specific category.

Yeah, I do; it usually gets me better answers when I do it that way (or at least more serious ones.) Not that there's anything wrong with P&S...just sometimes I actually do want a real answer!
