People are saying that there is going to be a 4th movie. and there are many sites online that say that as well. But also, I believe that is was originally going to be a trilogy. Help me out!!

A lot of rumors and quotes have risen the past week greatly because of the success of this wonderful trilogy. I would love to see Jack Sparrow back in the movies again but I think it is improbable as the 3rd movie gave its fair share of closure. It was originally planned to be a trilogy but I believe the money all points to a 4th one. I just hope the cast will come back especially Jack and Elizabeth if ever a 4th one pushes true.

At World's End, ends the story arc. In other words, if there is a 4th film it won't be connected to the previous 3 it will start its own story.
Depp has said that he still wants to do more. Joking that he'd do up to a Pirates 10 if he still felt there were things to do with the character.

after the credits on Pirates of the Caribbean 3 there is a ten years later and why would be there ten years later if there is fourth movie. I think it is a trilogy like you said.

I do beleive that when they first filmed the 1st one Jerry Brucheimer slipped about 4 of them. And the way that this one ends, why not search for the Fountain of Youth..... Leaves a lot open for a 4th....

thats funny because i found myself asking this same very question as soon as #3 ended. its a coin flip really! by the way it ended you can guesstimate that there will be one. but maybe theyll realize that 4 is a little to many and leave it at that. but honestly i didnt believe the 3rd one to be half as good as the other 2. #3=too long and to drawn out for this movieviewer!

they are all rumors. they expressed that it is likely to continue but it is NOT yet confirmed.
Johnny Depp loves playing Jack Sparrow, he is willing do it anytime they call him.
as of now it is a trilogy
i'd love to see more of capt. jack's adventures!
