How do i download files onto the sims?

Question

i've read lots of other questions asking this but it doesn't work. they say to unzip the folder and move it to the EA games folder but it doesn't work still. i'm not sure what WinZip and all that other stuff is but when i right click it and click extract all is that unzipping it? cos i went to the ea games folder after i did that and it keeps saying double click the custom content or something like that... help pleaseeeeeee. =[

Installation Instructions
To use this custom made Sims Object in the game, download the .ZIP and Unzip the files into the
\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Transmogrified directory (you will need to create one first).

The next time you load the game, this object will be available to use in all its glory!
