Shockingly, yes they could. However it depends on the species. Something like a Mandrill or Drill could, but something like an Olive Baboon, no way.
Believe it or not, though they are small they pack a mighty punch, heck even a drill has larger canine teeth than a lion, not as thick, but longer. They are also lightning fast and can escape up higher up into the trees when the lion goes to attack.
Chances are the baboons would more or less do an attack-retreat-attack type of battle. Wound the lion over and over until it either dies or becomes so weak and tired that they can finish it off.
So yes, they could, but they are really not stupid enough to try. However I have heard of many cases of baboons going for smaller cat prey such as leopards.

Two fully grown, healthy male baboons would probably not attack 1 fully grown, healthy male lion. The lion may attack the baboons though.
In my view it would be a fair fight, if both parties wanted the fight.
There isn't much that a fully grown male baboon cannot kill, if it puts it's mind to it.
I would definitely recommend all humans to steer well clear of one.

Potentially one baboon could kill a lion given the right circumstances, but the chances of it happening are small to zero. Baboon teeth, canines especially, are vicious and they could tear through cartlege or bone easily.

I have no proof, but I imagine it's distinctly possible. Baboons have the longest canines of any land mammal, which, along with their strength, agility and intelligence would pose quite a threat to a lion.
I've seen leopards back out of a fight with a single alpha-male baboon, but that's not conclusive.

Hell yes, Babboons are second only to the silverback in upper torso strength, couple that with very sharp canines and the ability to firmly grip an object.......DANGEROUS!
And not to mention being moody buggers! I Understand that having a brightly coloured bottom might upset you.....but thats still no excuse!
