Romeo stands for most of the play. There are a couple of scenes where he lies down, and probably one where he kneels, as well.

If you read the play, the answer your teacher wants you to provide is obvious.

However, it's possible to make a good case for "none of the above."

Your teacher is oversimplifying, and yet, it seems, it still isn't simple enough....

I'm guna go with D, loyalty.

Its hard to relate him to any of them really, but in act 3 scene three, he protects ybalt because he knows that hes now related to him, even though hes fighting against his friend. So really, he's having trouble deciding where his loyalties lie.

Well, since your other question's answer was peace, I'll go with loyalty. In fact, he was so loyal to Juliet he killed himself when he thought she was dead. Aww, isn't that NicE?? >:) How sweet..

How could he be for peace when a) he killed Tybalt, and b) he killed himself.

*shrugs* lol

He's certainly loyal, but I would say he stands for frivolity, since he "falls in love" so quickly and changingly.
