I took my Cub Scout dens kite flying quite a few years back now. I helped everyone make their kites first, and then we went on a field trip.

It was great fun! Nice memory, thanks!

My dad actually loves flying kites, so we have a lot of nice ones, like a few trick kites, a box kite, two boat kites, and a space ship kite. And there's a normal diamond kite too. We flew kites a few weekends ago; it was fun. I don't remember where we got them all; probably bought a few, two were gifts, and one we got when my great uncle died.

I made a kite out of a black plastic bag, some poles, string and a lot of hope about a month ago with my nephew.

It really flew!

For about ten minutes but then it got caught on a branch and it pretty much disintergrated!
After that he wanted to play PS2 games instead. The brat!

I haven't flown a kite in at least 20 years. I did try to make one from a brown paper bag once! Yesterday, I saw one while I was out on a boat; we thought it was a stationary bird at first!!

Last summer, purchased for my daughter. She decided she doesn't like kites. Too hard to stay in the air. Maybe when she is older........
