Im a little chubby but Im getting into good shape at the moment. My face has always been told it was good for modeling. At the moment a really close friend of mine is about to loose her house. MY boyfriend lives in Long Island and Im 2 hours away so money gets tight and it gets harder to see each other. I dont have a steady job now, I help my neighbor out sellin food at fairs durin the summer. I need money and I need it quick and my bestfriend thinks I should model. I just dont know how to go about it and how to get an agent and how to get booked for anything. I need help, any advice? I want to help everyone out.

OK I was in modeling school and do have an agent. And I am chubby to...But let me tell you it is hard to be a plus size run way model....You have to usely be 5'8...5'9...and most of the time it is 6'0. But now there are print models where all you do is print work (i.e magazines) Now getting an agent you have to go into an interview but you will have more of a chance if you have a modeling book.....(pictures of your self....best to have 2 head shots different positions, and 3-4 full body, always have a Polaroid of your self also, so they can know how you look without any makeup) If you don't have all this they will think your not professional and might not sign you...Its hard to get in it...Now you can always try to go to the mall or small clothing stores (plus size stores is a plus) and ask them if they will let you modeling their clothes...But Good Luck....Want more help e-mail me....(babi_gurl_tina@yahoo.com )... well, first you need to relax. you sound a little spazzy there hun. look in the phone books and call up some agencies or write down their address and send them some recent pics of you. if you talk to them on the phone, talk about getting an agent. if this doesn't work out go to fashion bug. they have modeling careers there! just take a breather. hope i helped. good luck!! :)

Keep doing the research since there is many different modelling fields. Generally, look in the larger city papers but especially talk to various different models themselves.

you wont get far without passion. but yes anyone can model, find a local agent, find some local photo events that amateur photogs go to to get some free pics for now. try modelmayhem.com
