I don't watch a lot of television, and when I do, Friends" re-runs aren't my first choice for entertainment.

First of all,the TV show 'Friends' is not mainstream, nor are it's liberal views mainstream. This is an old trick of the liberals,to try and make everyone think that the liberal view is mainstream, when,in reality,it is the conservative view that is the real mainstream in this country. Those guys are in some type of media fantasy land where all they ever see is one view and the liberal bias always comes out in the writing.
They think they can use sit-Com's to change the way people think, and it may work on some naive youngsters, but not on this American.

You have an incorrect assumption: that the views expressed on "Friends" are mainstream. If, for example, you remove the judgmental word, "mainstream" you have the answer to your question.
Socially liberal views expressed on ..... Do you see?
Thus Conservatives tend to disapprove of shows trying to "sell" socially liberal views as opposed to traditional values.
There see that was not so hard but you want to be careful with trying to think logically as it tends to expose Lefty-Lib belief system foolishness that it is.

I do not watch any of that crap. I find it pathetic that television stations show liberally biased television shows...they already have the major media, then they want to ram TV shows down our throats.
I watch some news (both liberal and conservative slanted news because the truth is usually somewhere in the middle), and movies. Television has become a playground for liberality and sexual immorality.

TV is an entertainment medium. If someone doesn't like what is on, or want their children to watch, use the off button. As a conservative, I am intelligent enough to chose what I watch. Commercials are the worst display of liberal views, and I flip through them.

By this time, we know that the libs are going to get their ideas out there any way they can, including TV shows. Of course we disapprove, but there's really nothing that can change it. And hey, if we don't like it, there's nothing there to force us to watch it.

This is nothing new, the Lear jet liberal Hollywood pinheads interject the ideology in many media outlets. It is called freedom of speech, the great thing is I DON"T HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT. A simple push of the remote is all that is needed.

I'm conservative and watched Friends all of the time. I loved it.
But very rarely did they portray sex, straight or gay, as casual. They joked about it. But when soemone did have sex, they usually cared for eachother.
Even years ago, Three's Company was very "racey" for it's time.
The important thing to realize though is that it is a show, it's fiction, entertainment. They aren't made to depict real life.

Friends, are you stuck on stupid. Did they stop making that show? Conservatives don't really care one way or the other about casual sex-you're going after the Christian Right, not all conservatives agree with the Chritian Right in this country-in fact, most do not.

Casual sex has gotten pretty much entrenched in society. Anyone like that in the 50's would have been ostracized. Just the way the world turns.
