Is anyone doing anything special?
My uncle andy died about a week ago, he lived in Uganda(in africa), so my family is going to Daytona beach to let roses float out into the atlantic ocean.
It's our way of saying goodbye.

Memorial Day is specifically for those that died in the line of duty defending our nation, or on patrol, or putting out a fire...
I'm going to get dressed up in my uniform and go to the Memorial Day program here on base.

After the ceremonies are over at the local military cemetery, after the bands have played, after the speeches are over, after the 21 gun salute, after taps has been played, after the crowds are gone...I will sit in silence among those headstones and remember those who are buried here. I will recall that last full measure of true devotion that these warriors made. I will recall that these few laid down their lives doing as their leaders had bid them to do. And now, they are at rest.

oh thats nice!! well happy memorial day!! im staying home and remembering a loved one that passed away through cancer. :( she was my grandma!! :( the best grandma ever!! may she rip!! same by you. may ur uncle rip!!
