There are signs to watch for that identify that your rabbit might be hot:
1.) wet nose
2.) head tilted back
3.) ears extra red
4.) breathing really fast
5.) breathing very deeply
6.) very warm ears
If your rabbit is warm, make sure it is in the shade. Also place cold water on its ears. You may also want to but an ice bottle in for the rabbit to lay against and a fan to blow on the rabbit.
Be very careful if your rabbit's head is tilted back real far. It could be very hot if that is the case and needs cooled down quickly, especially if it is expecting a litter.
Signs of nervousness:
1.) ears totally upright
2.) makes quick sudden movements
3.) thumps back feet
4.) bugged out eyes (eyes totally open)
5.) tends to want to run around cage
If your rabbit is really nervous, don't make any sudden movements. Nervous rabbits can often run around the cage and then run into the wall and break their spinal chord. In the future, it might be a good idea to have a radio playing around your rabbit all the time. The constant noise makes them less susceptible to getting nervous by a strange or quick noise.
Rabbits can be scared easily by sudden noises, sudden movements, dogs, kids running, or just by a person entering through a door.

well take him in the house put him somewhere cool and watch him. if he is breathing hard then his nose would be moving very fast. other than that he is shaking and that could be very bad! then you should take him to the vet. But, if his nose is moving fast and his sides are reflecting the rapid movement of his nose then just cool him off.or he could just be scared of something so he is breathing hard.

Rabbits are generally very nervous animals by nature. Is it outside?
Sometimes, after a scare, such as a dog or other animal trying to get to it scares it enough to make it tremble quite awhile.
