If you have USB ports on that laptop, I've had great success with Linksys' WUSB54G. Find a great price at http://www.pricegrabber.com or http://www.pricewatch.com to comparison shop.

Another good option but requires changing your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is to go with http://www.clearwire.com , provided they serve your area.

The easiest kind to install are the ones that plug into your USB port. Check your office supply stores, pc stores, or internet--my favorite site for best prices is pricewatch.com
