It's because at certain times of the day Yahoo switch the UK/Ireland site from being "UK/Ireland questions only" to "All English questions" and make no distinction between the two sites. This ALWAYS causes much confusion and consternation because the UK site gets questions on such subjects as building or electrical items answered by Americans, such answers usually proving to be illegal or dangerous if used in the UK - and I'm sure the reverse applies to some subjects. Anyway, that's the long and the short of it ! ! !
