I was answering Falco's question on cheating when I found myself putting 'just' physical and as I typed it it occured to me that I had no idea how that would work (which I put in brackets) and then thought to myself, well, let's find out then....
Basically when someone says they're not emotionally involved, it's just a physical thing how is that possible???
I can't get my head around it, how can you be physically intimate but not emotionally involved on some level?
I'm not asking because someone's done something by the way, just because I'm genuinely befuddled by it as a concept....

luckford, that's my point-surely you must have to care on some level-even if you say you don't to try not to hurt someones feelings you must, right?

OK, gonna clarify...no ones done anything, I'm not talking about fantasising about some celebrity and I'm not saying that it's wrong to 'just hump someone' if you're not hurting anyone else it's just that I don't see how that can be strictly non emotional for EITHER party.

sexyma, no-believe it or not, I haven't! Can't think of a time where I wasn't emotionally up to my eyebrows before being 'intimate'. Guess that's why I can't fathom the concept, eh?

I wrote an answer but it didn't really say anything.
Men - and in some situations women - do not need to feel any sort of emotional connection to a woman to want to have sex with her. In fact, I think most men can want to have sex with a woman they hate.

I think this is just a concept people use when they don't want to have feelings for someone. I personally as a woman can't have a 'just' physical realtionship. I have at times thought that this was what I wanted but as things went on I would always find myself becoming emotionally attached!

Women do the same thing, I have seen my wife swoon over Tom Cruz or Brad somebody and I know she or her friends would shag him in a heartbeat.
It is only lust because they don't even know the first thing about these people.
Don't tell me that you never looked at a person you didn't know and wonder how they were in bed?
You can't miss them when they leave, what would you miss about them, you don't even know them.
No emotions, just physical, very simple.
Most people don't act on these feelings, due to civilisational tabu but all sexually healthy people do experience the want for this from time to time.

Thats the bad part about just physical relations, someone always gets hurt. One person puts more into it than they should, hoping that just sx will turn into something more and long lasting.

Are you on about using some one for just sex? Its called a f*** buddy, and as long as it remains just a psychical bit of fun, it can be very unemotional (bar the orgasms). Not everyone is looking for just that though. I find most people want a drop of the old fashioned stuff. Love

Ask the majority of American men this question. They are "just physical" with women all the time and do not have any emotional connection to them. It's a mystery. Our mothers have done a poor job of raising sons, obviously.

You are deep in ..in that confusement! And thanks to the societal pre conditioning! Being physical is so deep in our subconcious mind and besides it is all natural. Look at the animal kingdom....dogs in a park.. they are at all times physical with out any emotional attachment!! You never think this being wrong or not acceptable. So why in a heck it is un acceptable for humans? and why we think we humans are any better or different is because we taught to think so. Remember...we are as animal as all animals around us, so all natural is good for us. Enjoy!!

Ask a prostitute/massage parlour worker, they have unattatched sex all the time with men /women who just see sex as a physical thing...I guess they lie back and think of England....or what colour to paint the ceiling..lol..dont tell me you never done that cos we all have @ somepoint.
