statistically speaking, poorer people tend to support democrats more, for obvious reasons. Wealthy people tend to support republicans.
So yeah, democrats.

I would say that, unfortunately, a large faction of people who are using food stamps are not really members of either party and are not interested enough in politics. Of those that are, I think there is still the initial idea that Republican equates to "good for the rich" while Democrat is more of the better for the poor/working class, so then I'd say more Democrat than Republican, more who have no real opinions in politics than Democrats.

People who dont make enough money working for Republicans? Of coarse its because they're lazy, uneducated, bastard children not of God, but hey you've got to have a bottom for the top to reap the benifits. What is it the top 1% have more money than the bottom 20% of the population? And yes some of that top 1% is democrats, but damn. Hopefully they actually want to help people, not kill them. You republicans will let your people starve at home while you try to preach Christ and freedom to the world. When you look bad to the rest of the world, it doesn't always mean the the world is wrong...you are.
And I really didn't want to start ranting....dang it! I've got to quit answering ignorant questions like this. Thumbs Down on you and me for answering.

Most people who are on food stamps probably don't even vote.....they tend to be unemployed, at home, with limited transportation and even less interest in matters domestic or foreign. So their political affiliation is moot, although their affinity is likely to be Democratic.

Well , many of our military families receive food stamps because the base pay is so low that a married private with two kids and a wife can collect food stamps . Since the military is mostly republican what do you think .

My guess would be that many of those people receiving food stamps aren't registered to vote under any party. The rest are probable split evenly between both parties.

that's a ridiculous question- the wrong people get it and the right people don't- regardless of party...what you should be asking is why we have no welfare reform- to make sure that people are getting it that fall on hard times, that are hard working, that have put into the system and have been laid off, or something... I do believe we need to have welfare, because our country and government should take care of us when we fall on hard times.. but only when times get hard, not people that are just to lazy to get off the couch and get a job

I tried to look up a statistical answer for this but could not find one. I do know that statistically, people who are not as well of tend to be democrats, so it would stand to reason that the answer would be Democrats, but I have no evidence to back that up. sorry.

I think under educated, non-voting (not a member of either party), illegal, lazy, low standard people all over this country use most of the benefits. The democrat party supports the abuse of welfare.
