Memorial Day seems to be the one instance where liberals would actually rather work than take the day off in rememberance. Does the fact that the US military also saved over 40 Iraqis from being tortured and beheaded over the weekend make this holiday an even harder one to bear?

I have heard that Liberals have actually threatened to sue if they cannot put anti war floats in the parade and have someone dressed as the grim reaper hand out anti war propaganda...just how sick can a person get?

First off I'm not a liberal.. and I'm not a work either.. but your question is absurd... what makes you think that liberals don't care about our military, our soldiers, and our country... that sad thing is you are putting this propaganda up here and basically making fun of our soldiers and the war- that is sad that even on a day like today, you can't bring yourself to be the better person.. instead of cutting people down, that you don't even know... How about instead of being on here throwing your insults and lies around... you actually go outside and go to a parade, or go to a service or something... make sure you put on some sunglasses though.. the sun is out.. might hurt your eyes
And some people have to work even on Memorial Day to support their families.. doesn't mean they care any less about our military or our soldiers that gave the ultimate price.. it just means they need to work- so that you can go get your ice cream later.. as you are talking bad about them-oh but that would mean you would have to leave your computer.. oh my

This Liberal Democrat has already been to the national cemetery today to place flags on the graves of my uncle who was a medic during the invasion of Normandy and my former father-in-law who flew missions in WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam. I also recently helped bury my current husband's father with full military honors in Fort Rosecrans. So - do I find today somewhat depressing? Yes - as should most Americans, regardless of being liberal or conservative. It should be a day to reflect on those who have died or our country - not a day just for going to the lake and having picnics. What have you done today to show your respect?.

Everybody should have some solemnity .....if only for a few moments...on Memorial Day.
Heard some clueless talk show host yell....
"Happy Memorial Day!!"
Everybody whining about the price of gas.
I think there could be a slight toning down.
A bit more awareness that....
if not for sacrifices made....
they would not be able to travel ANYWHERE without permission from some Authoritarian regime.

The deaths of soldiers should be depressng for any Patriotic American Citizen.
I am against using the soldiers to support anyones political agenda. They are just doing their jobs.
Take a minute and reflect when you visit this site. Take a minute to thank each and every one.

I don't think being a Liberal has anything to do with what this day is about. Today is a day to remember our fallen heroes, not only Military personnel but also fire and law enforcement personnel as well.
Some people work to keep their minds of everyday issues, and I don't think that saving 40 Iraqi's has anything to do with Memorial day.
In my opinion, this is a horrible question!!

NO what is depressing is moronic questions like this, on the day I remember my Father for his Participation in the Korean War (He Died while in duty there) and i am refraining from calling you more for your Insults and insinuations ..he fought and died so your ignorant self could ask stupid questions like this...also I served when i became of age for the same reason FREEDOM what the hell do you not understand about it? yes i am liberal an i confess it is a boring day for us !!!!
but it gets worst when i check the calendar and all i see are a hugh quantity of h0lidays dedicated to the army, the soldiers ,the wars ,and any other military neo violence thing that they can come out with !!!
it remaind me germany under nazi regime nothing but celebreting the right to kill anybody who do not share my thoughts!!!
