Angels are neither. They are spirits just like Christians when they get to Heaven. BUT, angels can take on the appearance of people of both sexes. That is why the Bible says to be nice to strangers because you may be talking to an angel. I don't recall a female angel either but when the Bible talks about being nice to strangers, it doesn't say only male strangers.

Angels are portrayed as both male and female. Angels that go on top of Christmas trees are most likely female. But in the movie "angels in the outfield", the angels were male. Also, Angel Gabriel in the bible was male. Why cant angels be male and female?

The only semi-reference to female angels I can find . Is ZECHARIAH 5:9. Which goes as follows "Then I raised my eyes and saw two women coming fourth with the wind ruffling their wings, for they had wings like the wings of a stork".
Not to mention he was talking to an angel at the time. Taken in the full context of the paragraph, and the fact the time period it was written in. This might be the only Biblical reference to female Angels. Also depends on the bible you read. A majority of biblical works were not included in most of today's bibles.

Angels are neither male nor female in a human sense, because they belong to a different order of beings.

HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven )
--goal is to overthrow the CREATOR and install democracy in Heaven
Genesis 6:4
fallen angels took on the form of flesh and had sexual relations with women producing a race of giants called the Nephilim.
So what we know they are male, unknown on the female part -- nothing from the bible, but believe that there are both male and female angels
