Because the con base can't grasp concepts beyond little sound byte talking points.

I don't know what mantra you chant nor do I care but nothing is more important or better than supporting our troops. Everyone should support our troops - and they deserve for every American to be 100% behind them. Our all-volunteer military is fighting a war that they didn't make or ask for and are doing a great job under difficult circumstances. This Iraq thing has gone on long enough that anyone serving in-country now either passed up the chance to get out and not reenlist or could have opted not to enlist. Sure you hear some bitchin'' and moaning but that's standard in the military. We used to say "A bitchin sailor is a happy sailor" and I'm sure that the GIs and Marines say much the same thing. I just hope that we don't bail out like we did in Nam and leave a lot of folk thinking or saying "What did we fight for?"

Personally, I have issues with this war, but I do support the troops. These men deserve our support, no matter what we feel about the war. This is not about a "con mantra," it is about human dignity and kindness. Americans are over there sacrificially and we should support them. Naturally, a more sensible Iraq policy would be supreme, but that is quite another issue.

Policies only go so far...Saddam wouldn't hold to an agreement that would have ensured no military action against him or his country. Seems he was not worried about policies and talks...perhaps now that the other 3rd world countries have seen that we mean business, policies will be taken more seriously opening the door to peace...without the will to act a policy has no value.

I've said this before, It's a good thing you crazies weren't around during WWII, We'd all be speaking German now while the 3rd Reich was alive and well in Washington DC.

Don't you hate being a bedwetting coward in a nation led by a resolute patriot who will defend you from the Jihadis who have vowed to kill EVERY infidel... including and especially bedwetting cowards?

We need to make sure you're on the same page. Since we know you often do not support the troops, we can't be assured you really want what's in their best interests. Show us first you support the troops, then negotiations can move forward.

OK, since you are so smart, what better plan do you have. Typical of a liberal to complain when someone has a plan but never come up with one on their own.

If any one wants to support our brave troops, they get them out of Iraq and Afghanistan yesterday?!
I wish this guy above me would stop pointing his finger like that. Why not use a nice and peaceful picture?
Best Regards.

There's nothing new about it but if you have to ask that, then no explanation is going to do any good. What a despicable attitude!
