A Walmart cashier told my wife that her Military ID was not a valid form of identification when she was trying to pay for her purchases with a check. Sounds like Walmart needs to do a lot of training to me. What's your opinion.

well see that is one of the reasons why I NEVER EVER shop at walmart. They don;t train their employees properly. Pay them horrible wages. Don;t pay them overtime, offer health benefits, hire illegals. I could go on and on.
Not worth it to me to save the 10-50cents per product.
Boycott walmart!!!!!!!!!

I haven't shopped at Walmart for years. Our local Walmart is not worth the savings to me. It's impossible to find an employee to receive help with something. When you do find an employee, they have no product knowledge even though that area is their "speciality" (maybe with the exception of electronics, but you have to wait a very long time to receive help there). Even thought there are 20 registers, there are only 3 - 4 open with 4 - 5 customers deep. The cashiers tend to be on the impersonable if not rude side. If I'm grocery shopping and need toiletrees, it's on the exact opposite side of the store. I could go on and on. The problem is that Walmart's wages only attract the destitute or teens, and none of them are well-educated or at least not very wise to the world. I don't know if places like Target pay more, but it seems like the employees are a lot happier and if I have to wait in line to be checked out, there's never more than one person ahead of me. Walmart needs to devise a way to attract better personnel and train more. As it stands right now, I will not shop at Walmart -- period.

I don't mind Walmart and I can afford to shop elsewhere, but you never go there for the "friendly" staff. It depends where you are. Some places the staff are really good, other places they are aggressive and nasty. I think it is the part of the country you are in, rather than Walmart itself.

Someone needs to do some training because it has always worked for the people I know. I would of asked for a manager then the store manager.
