Since the motivation for their desire to kill is based far more on religion than politics, ANYONE who has not accepted Isalm as their faith can expect to be eventually targeted.

Al-Qaeda and the rest of the Muslim fundamentalists hate ALL westerners not just Bush and his followers. The Muslim war against the West started in 1928 with the establishment of the Muslim Brotherhood by Hassan al Banna. He declared war against western influence withing the Muslim world. They started their terrorist tactics shortly there after. The deadliest terror war against the west was the battle for Algeria hosted by Yosef Saadi, where millions of people were killed and by 1962 there was not a single Jew left in Algeria. When France under DeGalle started talking about pulling the troops out of Algeria Saadi moved the war to France with the Cafe Wars.
My contention is that if France would have destroyed the FLN and Yosef Saadi in the 50's and 60s then we would not be having this war on terror today.

They want to kill all Americans, Jews, Christians, Shiites, Westerners in general, and anyone who they think insults them.
I'm not sure why dems want to stop fighting them is because they are political opportunists. If elected, they would step up to protect themselves.
