I think that our heart can change the way you think in a lot of big situations, but I don't think your core values are changed very much at all - even though you may not always act on them you will feel them ;)

I do my best not to change my values in any matter.. however, there are rare occassions when I allow myself to be open to new growth but it has to come very close to my current values.

No. My values come from the Bible, so they are absolute. If there is a disagreement between my values and my heart, it's my heart that needs to change.
This gives me something to stand on, and protects me from wishy-washy living.

No, i dont ever want my values to be guided by my emotions...i already did that once and it left me feeling lost and empty and like i didnt know who i was anymore....so never again.

They shouldn't but they do. Passion has overridden logic for eons. We were probably built that way to guarantee survival of the species.
