British Gas has announced its second price drop this year alone. Unless you mean petrol prices (Gas in the USA) then I have no answer as they seem to be on the increase. Here the UK the petrol (gas) prices are 96p per litre (Nearly 2 dollars). I hope that this answers your question.

New technology is coming. In the mean time slow down, take care of the vehicle. My business van gets 17mpg @ 70+, 21.5 @ 60. The mustang gets 24 @75 and 31 @ 65.

Whip out a calculator and figure out how much time this slow down will take from your day. My guess.......very little. Use that same calculator to figure the difference stated in a percentage of reduced fuel use.. The big oil companies do make a lot. They also reinvest in new wells and new technology. Chevron has a division dedicated to new tech. They built and supply the hydrogen for the AC Transit bus used in The Peoples Republic of Berkley.

Adjusted for inflation gas is cheaper now than 1980.

Encourage Congress to get off it's big butt and actually do something beside make cheap talk. If they help industry build Nuclear Power Plants it will reduce the evil green house gas. It will also provide the power necc to produce hydrogen or charge electric vehicles. Please do not blame the Republican Party for doing nothing in it's 12 years of control. The Democrats had control from the mid 50's and did nothing. THEY as in both parties have done nothing.

International Politics and demand are the 2 major influences.

You have control of the demand side.

Tunisiaboy46's anwser of .96p per liter works out to $7.50US per gallon (approx)

They said they dropped a fraction of a cent! It probably cost more to tell people that fact than what it saved the consumer! It's all georges fault and the public will never forget it!

They will fall in the short term but looking further ahead further price increases are inevitable.
