Couldn't agree more with cwstuff! The weather in New England is totally unpredictable. In general early September is still in the 70s and 80s but the nights can be very chilly. Doesn't start getting really cold until late October, but this year it was in the mid 70s on Halloween, and the year before it was in the 30s. In general the Summer Months (June to September) and the Winter months (December to March) are pretty consistent, very hot in the summer, very cold in the winner, its the spring and fall months that are the most unpredictable!

I lived in Boston for 2 years, usually that time will be in the upper 60-70's during the day, 50's at night.

September in Boston can run the whole gamut from blazing hot (85+) to chilly (40-something) New England weather is totally unpredictable...
Mark Twain (Sam Clemens) said: "Don't like the weather in New England? Wait a minute."
Congratulations on your wedding

September is one of the nicest months of the year.
You never know if it is going to rain, but I would expect the temperatures to be 70ish.
