A lot of the show seems staged, they mostly focus on black men and women (making the black race look bad with the stereotypes), and it's the same stuff everyday! All you hear about is women or men who were cheating or they have no idea who the father was.

Maury's show is trash. The only thing different with Jerry is that while its trash too, it's fake. The retards on Maury don't act. But I'm sure everyone gets some dollar payoff. I'd be embarassed to go on television stating I don't know which of the 86 guys I slept with is my kid's dad. Some people have no shame.

Maury's show almost got cancelled because more people were tuning into Jerry Springer than any other talk shows a few years ago. Maury always tried to do heart-warming, meaningful shows, but almost quit because people wanted to see fighting and messed up people more than his shows. He had to revamp how he did his shows and he is still here today because of the reconstrunction of the Maury Show.

I like the Maury show much better than Jerry Springer. I have never compared it. But I think they show just as much whites as blacks so it's not like they're just always focusing on blacks all the time. I don't look at it like that. But I watch Maury for the entertainment. I know right from wrong so it's not like I'm imitating what I see. I just like watching the show.

I can tell you for a fact that those talk shows are not all they claim to be. They edit most of what you say, make promises that they don't keep, tell you how they want you to react, and Maury imparticular does not research those he has on the show very well nor do they follow up on their guests very well.

I personally know someone who was on The Maury Show and it was such a crock of fraud. They told this person how they wanted them to freak out, that they had to react a certain way or they wouldn't get the money incentive that they pay guests for appearing, and that they wanted this person to "go off on/attack" one of the other guests.

I also know someone who appeared on The Montel Williams Show and from what I was told and heard (they had a hand held cassette recorder) the show lied about wanting to help this person's family resolve issues, edited ALOT of what was actually said, had a psychologist on stage that LIED about going backstage to talk with the person's family and came back out later and said they were making progress even though the doctor never ACTUALLY spoke to the family backstage, they never followed up with counseling for the family as they promised...I could go on and on....

Those shows are a joke and are all about ratings..nothing more.

I think Maury is in training at the Jerry Springer Education Center. He's doing an online course.

yes i agree, i very seldom watch maury anymore b/c almost all of his shows are women who dont know who their babies daddies are...and the choices are the milkman, the womans cousin, her mailmain, and the pizza delivery man!!! I think it's just stupid to watch! These women don't need a talk show host, they need to learn to stop sleeping aroung with the whole town.

They're all the same to me. A Human circus. There are far better uses of time than to laugh at the idiocies of others.

Yes, and it's sad that Maury's career has had to resort to this type of fake, sensationalized tv.
