All I've heard them talk about is the war and immigration. What else do they have in mind for the future of the citizens of the U.S.? Or is that all that matters?

You probably haven't noticed but the economy is booming, unemployment is way down, people are prospering and the Country is doing great. The war and immigration are the only issues that are left to resolve. You vote in a Democrat and all the other issues will come flooding back in. It'll be 1976 all over again.

Well, one thing I'm not very thrilled with regarding the republican party IS their illegal immigration approach, but then the democrats aren't doing to swell of a job at that either.
More over, the republicans do understand the responses needed for national security than the dems do.

That being said, there are only two party's that are directly countering the liberal/socialist/progressive threat, and that is the republican and constitutional party's.
Keeping traditional American values in place as best they can, keeping taxes as low as possible, keeping our military as strong as possible and keeping our economy on a pro growth track as it has been for the past several years are many of the Republicans goals.
Many Dems always quote, "stay the course" as if it is a bad thing. They don't seem to understand that that is how good things are accomplished. If a person did not stay the course in school, despite some hardships, how far would they go? If a person did not stay the course at work, despite the tough times, how succesful would they be?
The liberal/progressive's want radical change in everything. Not everything in America is broken. Many of them want a western european type society. But what they don't want to talk about is how many western european countries are falling apart. Economically and socially they are a mess.

Republicans for the most part want to keep America as it always has been, strong in every aspect of the word. Dems want to weaken many of the good things we have in place right now.

It all depends on what is happening in the country at the time and what the democrat reaction would be.

I find it hard to believe that Bush had envisioned things like 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina happening while he was in office. But when they came along, he dealt with them.

So the biggest Q's are going to be, what is going to happen between now and then? Another terrorist attack? More national or natural disasters?

And how would the democrats and liberal media respond to another republican president? Would it be more of the same mindless hatred and false accusations that we've heard for the last 7 years?

Election effects tend to cycle back and forth between "liberal" and "conservative philosophies. except Bush can opposite the downward spiral in Iraq, the Democrats will probably win the Presidential race and grow to be the final public occasion in Congress.

Like all candidates, they are talking about the issues of the day that concern the voters. Unless you are taking up residence beneath a rock....you have a good idea how they stand on all the issues. If you need help.... give me a specific issue and I'll give you (my) Republican response.

I think they will bring America back to it's great glory.
All the leftist Nazi's will bring is Homo's will be first class citizens and the rest of us will be second class. We will have the right to kill babies at will and never engage in a fight with the enemy.

The Republican Party is determined to continue on the course to fascism -- pulling the Democratic Party in tow.

"Fascism should rightly be called corporatism as it is the merge of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini (the father of fascism)

Banning abortion and gay marriage, giving more corporate welfare through tax breaks and continuing to allow corporations to take these and invest abroad. Giving more grants to "faith based" organizations. Clarifying through the Supreme Court that religious organizations can take federal monies and still limit jobs and help to those of their own faith. Proceeding from there to giving direct financial support to faith based schools. Increasing the mercenary component of the military using the rationale that private business does everything better than govt can.

We would go in the best direction for America. If the Democrats win, there will be dark days and America as we know it would eventually end.
