to fill the tank doesn't kick in for about 15 minutes sometimes, most of the time about 8 minutes, so you can never flush it two times in a row. We replaced the float and all parts inside with no success. Any ideas.

Turn off the water supply valve to the toilet. Disconnect the supply tube at the valve. Hold a rag over it and turn on and off two or three times. This should clear any obstruction at the valve. If that is not the problem, buy a Fluidmaster 400A fill valve and install it. Easy to do with the included instructions and less than $10.

What I do, is to flush the toilet and then I hold down the handle and let the water rush back into the little bowl and I get a nice big bowl of water.

The plumber told me to do this.

It sounds like the angle stop or shut off valve to your toilet has a blockage. What you need to do is to shut off the water to your home and then remove the angle stop/shuttoff and see if there is a blockage. If you don't see anything you probably need to replace the shutoff and supply line coming off of it. I hope this helps.

check to make sure your valve is turned all the way on. if it is than you may have a pressure problem coming in to the toilet
