Good Question. The play off final tonight aside, if they had a regional derby, then on current form the West Mids would win being able to pick from Premiership Clubs such as Villa Birmingham (promoted) and a host of in form clubs WBA, Wolves, Walsall, Stoke etc.
The East Midlands (who I would support) are going through a doldrums patch with only Derby doing well. Leicester, Notts Forest Notts County and Northampton might not have "enough".
It's a great idea for a series of regional derbies to be held as Charity Events at the start of the season.
Tyneside v Wearside
Manchester/Liverpool v Lancashire
North London v South London
West London v East London
etc
some good games there

In case you hadn't noticed at 15.00 Mon 28th the real thing is happening and it's not a friendly. Result around 17.00 unless it goes to ET and penalties.
