I know it's easy to say from here, but just relax. If you have been practicing, and successful at the various aspects of driving, just think of it as going for a drive with friend. Okay, so it's a rather critical friend. Don't worry, the DMV tester is not going to try to trick you. They just want to make sure you know the Rules of the Road, and can drive safely.

Ask your parents to take you out to practice, practice practice as much as possible. If there is something that stilll gives you trouble, concentrate on repeating doing that until you are confident about it. Scan through the driver's manual one more time as sort of a refresher.

Some of the things to remember while on the road are not only to watch your speed, but also to adjust your speed to match the traffic and conditions. Remember to use the turn signals for making lane changes, as well as any time you are turning. Check all your mirrors from time to time as you drive, and before making any turns or lane changes. Also, turn your head to check the blind spots before making lane changes. Believe me, the tester will be watching these things.

Those butterflies can be put to good use every time you get into a car. Think of them as travelling companions, reminding you of all the right things to do when driving. Once you get going they will settle down and enjoy the ride.

Be confident, and Good Luck!
Now, just tell those butterflies that you're only going for a ride.

It is normal to be nervous before any test or exam but if it is out of control, try focussing on all the things you are good at and not worry so much about the things you think you may fail on. You should still have time to practice - so do as much as you possibly can before the test. Try some kind of exercise, a run, yogo session or trip to the gym will help you immensely to beat out any stresses and worries you have as well as build your confidence and help you sleep better. Good luck - I am sure you will do fine.

I know how u feel, I was the same when I did my test last year. I just kept telling myself that lots of people fail first time and it was only a test. I think I had resigned myself to failing so I didn't feel as nervous and I ended up passing, so I was thrilled! I know it's probably no help to you, but it is just a test, don't let it get the better of you.

You have to overcome your fears. I not know what to tell you. As mentioned, the person giving the test know you nervous. But, just think and drive, let them talk. You keep your eyes on the road, if, you talk, KEEP Watching the road! You not have to look at a person for them to hear you. Then do what your asked. Stop, Turn Left, Did you use your blinker? (Yes, always)! Slow down when passing parked cars, your watching for small children.
I know you can do this, even nervous, your that good! Good Luck!

seriously don't be nervous, the testers are normaly aware of how difficult it can be.

One thing to remember is, don't give up, even if you think you may have alredy failed!

My brother made a few mistakes and was sure he had failed about halfway through he had realy given up and was sure there was no point in carrying on, but it turned out that the instructor only decuced points rather than failing him.

hey those nerves are a good thing. when you sit your test you'll be sharp and ready to pass. Prior to my test I did a two hour lesson and made a real mess of it. When I took the test straight afterwards I sailed through it and passed first time.
Don't take anything to calm your nerves, nerves are natural and a good thing. go for it and good luck. let us know how you did.
