No! And please don't worry about the weight gain. The baby is already growing, there is the placenta, your uterus is getting bigger and then there is the amniotic fluid. All of this adds to the weight you gain so I would say 3 pounds is definitely not too much. During your pregnancy if you just eat when you are hungry you'll be fine. Eat healthy foods and know that it's fine to have those occasional treats too, and you will gain what you are meant to. Some people go crazy and think that being pregnant is an excuse to eat what they want, others are the opposite and are so paranoid about getting fat that they don't eat enough. Neither one of these mind-sets is healthy for the Mom or the baby. Good Luck and congrats on your pregnancy.

Hi, As long as you watch what you eat everyone always says you are eating for two now. That is true but your baby is fine as long as you eat normal. Just make sure you eat three meals a day. But as far as three sweetheart that is fine, Most Doctor don't like you to go over 25 or 30 pounds through your entire pregnancy. You are doing just fine.I hope all is good and you have a wonderful healthy bouncing baby.
PS and drink plenty of milk and take your prenatal vitamins.

No, it sounds like you are right on target. You gain a lot of water weight early on in the pregnancy.
