i tried a pregnancy test this morning since i am 6 days delayed and it was negative..do i have the assurance that i am not pregnant? i dont feel anything like tenderness of breast xcept cramps.we used condoms when we had sex

No, you can't be sure you aren't pregnant, esp. since your period still hasn't come.

If you are pregnant it's possible your hcg hormone levels are not strong enough for a urine test to pick up. A blood test should tell you for sure.

There could also be other reasons besides pregnancy that your period is late (stress, diet, etc.)

I'm trying to conceive for months now and last month i had the same story thinking that I'm pregnant i went to the doctor to make sure if I am or not ,and I wasn't my period came next day ..I thinking i was really stressed trying to conceive ...
but may be u r pregnant because some tests aren't sensitive enough ,not before 10 days it can show a positive ,i would say go to the doctor and test there so u will make sure and relax about the whole thing

If you used a condom and the test was negative you probably are not pregnant. Stress and diet could be another reason for your delayed period.

It may be that your menstrual cycle is changing...
but to be sure try another test in a week if your menstrual has not come on..

and if it's still negative, have a blood test for pregnancy done on you...

the delaying of menses sometimes is caused by stress. you should also ask for OCP for another method of safe sex.
