there is no way to know for sure hon. my ex husband's family ALL had jet black hair, i have reddish brown hair, and all my family are a mix of blonde, brown and red.
my son came out blonde.
my husband now has jet black hair too, my daughter w/him has reddish brown hair, he has a son from a previous marriage...his ex wife's family has light colored hair, but his son has the same jet black hair that he does.
it's all a matter of genetics which are unpredictable w/out scientific meddling.

I would think your baby would have reddy brown or brown hair!
Lets take the blonde out of the equation as it is recessive and your brown hair will take over this recissive gene. The reason your partner has reddy brown had is because red is an incomplete dominant gene which means it will take over a recessive gene such as blonde and may blend with a dominant gene such as brown, creating a reddy brown, or auburn! So working on that theory your baby could have brown hair as this is a dominant gene, or, it could have reddy brown or auburn as your partner oviously has a red gene which may blend with yours and his brown genes!!
So there you go!

I think it depends on how strong the genes are on your or your partner's side of the family. In my experience, the children usually take on the grandparent's physic and color. My Mom has green eyes and light brown hair and both her parents had black hair and brown eyes. But her grandma had the same as my Mom. Unless there is a dominant gene that is common on both sides, (i.e. everyone has blue eyes on both sides of the family, or everyone has blonde hair.), it really depends. Congrats.

My vote is for reddy brown since you have brown and your partner has reddy brown.... Whatever color hair you will think he is the most special baby in the world! Best of Luck and enjoy your sweet bundle.....just rest up before he comes out crying.....

i am a very dark auburn, almost chocolate and my husband was blond as a child and now dirty fair and my daughter is strawberry blond but i was advised when she was born that 80% of babies with dark haired parents start life as blond and keep some kind of red tint to their hair.
also 95% of babies take their fathers eye colour!!

Ginger me thinks - theres alot of red and strawberry blondes mentioned and ginger is a very dominant colour and so would win over black or blonde hair in the gene wars!!!!

I'd put money on a light brown color =), blond is a recessive trait but still possible.
