you are shopping and have about 5 shopping bags to carry.suddenly, a random person knocks into you(on purpose), causing you to drop everything. the person laughs really hard,kicks one of your shopping bags, and struts away. your reaction please? i am recording a survey and need your help!

I would probably tackle the perosn down and call out for someone to call the police.

I'd leave the stuff on the floor. It would be beyond my dignity to pick them up. Report it to staff. Tell them there's a crazy running amok and that will get them on side. If he's done it to you, he's going to do it to someone else and hopefully they will be ready for that person next time. When that person is known - Bingo : It's assault charges.
No, I'm not a lawyer or a law officer. Just a bystander feeling sympathetic.

I'd probably give them an angry look and start yelling at them, then pick up all my things and walk to my car and forget about it later in the day after having told all my family and close friends about this "rude person i met at the mall"

Unfortunately, there is really nothing [worthwhile] that you can do. The police would be useless, and if you do anything to the person, the could press charges for assault and/or battery. The best thing to do is to avoid such instances.

I'l feel terribly upset ..but i wont go and knock him down etc.

I would huff and puff and say, "Excuse me!" and proceed then to say real loudly, "How rude!" And then I would pick up my items and go on with my day, telling anyone I can about what an butt-hole this guy was.

As you said, he/she will run away. I won't ren after him/her, i'll just pick up the bags as if nothing happened.

once they pick their face up off the floor they will be picking up my bags,and laughing hard they wouldnt be more like begging for mercy................
