"Wish" may be the wrong word - someone mentioned that God isn't a genie in a bottle and I agree. But taken in the spirit intended, I think I would ask God to ease the world's suffering. From human violence to natural disaster, God's creatures are in such pain that maybe it's so completely absorbing that there's no inner resource to seek beyond. But maybe that's how it's supposed to be? In that case, I'd ask humbly that our physical life is 'hell' and that each one us of has a chance to truly become perfect enough to move on to know God. I do not believe in mouthing verses.

Assuming that God made the world and everything in it including you, and given the fact that He has appeared in front of you to be able to speak to Him, what more could you possibly want?

Anyway, God doesn't grant wishes; perhaps you're thinking of a genie in a bottle or a fairy godmother.

I think the best wish someone could ask God, is for there be no more pain and suffering in the world.

God give me "Eternal Life". For if life is in this life only and after death nothing follws, then we better have the Stoics Principle of "Lets drink and be merry for tommorrow we will die"
But deep inside in us, there is a longing. And this longing is thoroughly answered in the Holy Bible. Try reading the Bile.

I don't know what you would ask. But I would certainly ask God to absolve me of maya, and keep me directed towards Him.
