Chances are that they would draw goddess like pandas but it also depends on their imagination and not only on whether they have hands. Humans have drawn divine beings with the body of animals in Greek and Hindu mythology. So depending on how imaginative the pandas are, they may end up drawing goddess with a body of panda and the head of Shakira.

what a great question!
Any species that has the ability to use tools and to create has also created their own gods/goddesses for worship. This has been occurring since time began. The proof stands with any achilogical dig. They all contain either remnants or full images of forms of worship.
Pandas having panda souls would have also panda images of worship for their species. And the truth be told, species create gods/goddesses in their own image for a few reasons. It is what they know best. It is easier to honor someone who looks similar to you. And being that every thinking species wants to know why they exist, why they are where they are, they would create worship figures that look as much like themselves. They try to trace down the line to find the first one; the one who created all the rest.
Wow, it isn't often you find a really fantastic question on YA. This one is amazing. Thank you.

Hands are an interesting tool, but the neural networks needed for drawing are something else.
Is faith uniquely human? Is it connected to art? Do pandas see beauty in the same ways we do (granted in a bigger furrier way)? Would a panda be compelled to draw for the same reasons we are?
also if if a panda had hands and advanced cognative ability (or atleast enough to concieve drawing), would it still be a panda?
damn good question, giving rise to a flood of ponderings ^_^

No, monkeys have hands and during drawing experiments they just mark up the page. The human brain is what distinguishes us from most other creatures out there. A hand is only as good as the brain that is controlling it. So, I can only see a panda drawing something that would look like what the monkey would draw.

(Even humans aren't always that good at drawing, regardless of intelligence level.)

Why pandas?

Hinduism does not postulate God created man in His image.
We have a fish, a turtle, a boar, an eagle,a swan, an elephant, a tree, and myriad other creatures as manifestations of the Self.

It can be a He, She, or It.

Pandas may be as catholic.

STAR question!!

Not only that, they too would further claim that God created the great pandas in His own image.

Well, there's a fair chance.

Although they may have their god of war with a human face.

I think they would probably all pay homage to the great god Bamboo.
