So Andrew......... I won't be coming to see it!! yuk!!!

Sapper.. we all have opinions. Personally I have been brought up with music all my life. I can spot someone with talent as well. Which is why I have two favorites. One was Daniel and the other is Lee. Keith would be third for his voice. Andrew Lloyd Webber picked correctly up until that fatal mistake and he has gone downhill in my estimation now.

open thoughts..... as I said WE ALL have our opinions. In the Uk they are free..... I think that as he is writing the show he has last word who he wants to sing. The man is a genious but I STILL believe on that score he was wrong. But i AM entitled to my opinion. As you are.

I like Daniel, he was excellent.
Fully expecting to hear of him again in a role such as Valjean or Enjourelas in Les Mis??
His voice is far too great to be wasted in a piny, petty, camp role like Joseph.
Excelllent guy.

PS. ALW was wearing a yellow ribbon for Maddie, so I'm not against him and I respect him.

Without at all having a clue what you're talking about, I happen to be listening "The Addressing of Cats" as I type this. If anyone can be a judge of Music and the talent to perform it, A.L.W. certainly fits into the top 3 on any list.

I do get an idea however that you're referring to some type of Hyped up Talent show, and as one answer alludes to, certainly they aren't 100% Up&Up.

Determining "talent" in this case goes far beyond just singing talent and ability. It includes often, stage presence, attracitve appearances, personality overall, and ability to "work" an audience, and in the end, The contracts the "performers" on any of these type shows are tied too, through the producers, and their "profitability" after the fact.

Given that we the audience all have a favorite, and use the inane method of multiple voting etc. The Judges are no more or less competant to gauge talent, than you. It's just their own presence and profit lines they are considering.

Finally and importantly, another thing to consider in a situation like this is to realize, as the contestants do, that to get as far as they have, it's likely they won't leave as LOSERS with terminally damaged egos, but will still do what they are most passionate about despite arbitrary opinions.

I always think it is funny that people think that their OPINION is better than the judge's OPINION!

An individual's talent is a matter of the observer's OPINION! Andrew Lloyd Webber had a different OPINION than you.

I will give you a quick example...I was in a Karaoke bar, and one guy got up to sing and he flat stunk. He was off key...off time...just plain bad. This was the obvious opinion of everyone in the bar...except one person who thought he was creative and exceptional.

Some people like broccoli some don't. Is one person right and the other wrong, or is it an example of the fact that we all have different tastes or OPINIONS?

I liked Daniel and thought Lewis should have gone but I can't see either of those two as a Joseph. I think it will be Lee. Keith is too young, Lewis too wimpy and the other guy (can't even remember his name) is not good enough.

The whole thing is a fix as the star has already been picked months before. They pick the star then hold auditions to make it look fair.
