It is likely that in a few years the US will be nowhere near as powefull as it is now. China will soon be the biggest economic power and probably the biggest military one too. American cultural power has already gone as people around the world no longer respect America and across the world people cant stand what they see as arrogant and self righteous American agressiveness. When Americas power is comletely gone will the world be a better or worse place?

It's true that a lot of the world has lost respect for America, though not it's culture. US movies and music are still a big hit pretty much everywhere.
Yeah, the Chinese are big, and yes they've bought all of our debt and could probably plunge us into a depression (to the moron suggesting Dems bear responsibility), but if they did, who would buy all of their cheaply manufactured goods? Also, we're talking about the people who run over pro-democracy demonstrators with tanks and execute their criminals en masse for their organs. As badly as the US reputation has been damaged, China's is far worse still.

After what happen in WWII I don't ever want to see another asain country come to power. These dudes are curel... At least Japan was.
Actually he has a point... China has more then just people... They are buying metals and building a huge fighting force. They also know the vaule of space travel and are planing a mission on the moon. Therefore their research and development is comming along.

I don't know what the future holds, but I can say with confidence that the world greatly benefits from the wealth, technological advancements, and generosity of the United States and its citizens. So, as for what the world will be like when the US is no longer powerful - let's just say that I hope there's an equivalent replacement.

China will also fall apart. No country can survive under the guise of two systems, Communism and Capitalism. WHEN the United States falls, (And it won't be long, since our Liberal KENNEDY - LIKE politicians continue to permit the invasion from other countries through our southern border) the world will then come under attacks by gang warriors, who will control the world the way Somalia is being run now. Or, in a sense, the way ancient England was controlled by a Feudal System. The rich will enslave the poor. There will be no middle class. We will be living on lands owned by dictators who will force to work, in return for food and a home.

I don't see that happening as soon as you seem to hope. If America is so hated then why do so many want to become part of this country. I wish though we would just leave everyone else alone. No more medeling no more giving more aid and money to countries living in poverty then all other countries combined. If you need help call Iran or China our phone is off the hook.

I know as an Aussie the Chinese power our economy along, working in Real Estate in one of the most upmarket areas of Sydney Harbour we actually have a Chinese Salesperson employed to cater for their market ! Sucks but true ! After the English came the Americans now the Chinese.... Will their be any "true" Australians left ? after all the Super Powers have had their bit ? We don't discriminate we love and at times hate them all equally !

apparently you don't know what resolve and determination are, all power is relative and fleeting but the fighting spirit go's on... in the end socialism and one world government will rule not only the u.s. but the world as well... so all you say is just a moot point... it is not a matter of will the world be better off because the answer to that is unequivocally a resounding "Yes" but for human kind the answer will be a big "no" on the flip side...

If they think that we are arrogant and self righteous when we are aggressive after we have been attacked, wait and see what they think of China if they ever become the worlds only superpower...we attack when provoked....china will attack for world domination....the dopes who hate us will be praying for our return, but it will be to late. there will be no more America to liberate those who can't fight for themselves...no more liberating france ..no more liberating any country controlled by murderous dictators....no more aid after natural disasters..no more money to poor nations trying to feed their people....You see the world as despising the US....I see those who hate us as jealous, and envious and hate the fact that our form of government gives rights to its people...inalienable rights from God...we're not perfect, but a world with no US is not going to be the utopia that many have fooled themselves into believing.
