I am not usually superstitious, however once when I had a run of bad luck I got it into my head that a certain object that I had purchased was bringing me bad luck. I buried the item in the forest following advice from my superstitious sister. My luck did not change so I retrieved the item and it hangs on my wall. The Item was a replica Phaistos Disc from greece, no one knows the meaning of what it says. Some web sites suggest it carries a curse.

My family bought an old farm house in Missouri and we tore it down and built a new one. Anyways the very first night we had it we saw a little indian girl. I truly believe she was haunting our house. The TV would turn on by itself, she would mess with the volume or reset our alarm clocks. My family had the worst luck living there. We had 3 contractors take advantage of us and lost out on $100,000. Our barn caught on fire and we couldn't figure out how because there was no electricity in there. We had a bunch of stuff that got lost including pictures. Then the insurance company ripped us off for it. We also lived near a creek and every time it rained if flooded all the way up to the house. We finally had to move after my parents went bankrupt. The day we left there were thousands of flies covering the house. I've heard that's a sign of evil. Things have been better since we moved.

bad luck is following US (not objects) as long as we let it ... it's all about recognising pattern where it doesn't really exist ... that's simply the way human brain works ... so my suggestion would be: break it (the thing), an decide that that's the moment from which one your luck will change, and it just might, because you might start recognising pattern in some nice things and feel things are going for better! which will make you more optimistic, positive, and those things help us achieve our goals, and enjoy life, so you your luck will change, but this time really!

We all have bad luck and good luck and it appears that there are some people who more lucky than others but it has nothing to do in inanimate objects which are just objects and only lucky or unlucky if you think they are.

It's psycho-somatic. You almost give the object power by considering it's unlucky - there's no such thing as luck.

I used to have 'away with the fairies' socks, and I'ld always do dopey things, and forget my doorkeys when I was wearing them, so eventually I'ld take care not to if I had something important to do!
Think it wasjust me though

superstition is a load of BS - its just a coping mechanism

to prove a point i ALWAYS walk under ladders

its just power of suggestion

if i told you that it was unlucky to say the word "jello", and if you asked your friends and they all said it was unlucky, then a superstitious person would believe it, even though theres no rational reason why saying jello is unlucky
