To be fair, the normans were french who invaded England,
and took it from the saxons, all the wars with france afterwards were about getting their old lands back.
otherwise French military strategy seems to consist of
surendering enmass to the enemy at the outbreak of the war
then sitting in a pow camp drawing vital resources to feed
house and guard them, while their allies fight them on the front. the more frenchmen to guard the more effective the tactic is. thus getting killed defeats their purpose.

The French don't always lose in war....as mentioned in other postings.
The won tactically in Algeria, but lost strategically because of the will of the French people......much like the USA today in Iraq.
Oh and by the way......we were kicking the s*** out of the Viet Cong and would have won that war as well, but again the political will of the American people wasn't there.
So maybe there are others in this forum that should also go back to school and listen up!!!

france did not loose vietnam , they pull out
america lose vietnam they got there *** kick for a bunch of farmers with no military training whatsoever
