Are you speaking of the so-called church? The ones that congregate at funerals and hollar about how the man died because he is gay, or some BS to that effect. I would think that anyone would be justified in that instance. The Local Oklahoma Biker Community noticed this happening and they all rode to the funeral and revved their engines to drown out the protestors. Although I know this disrupted the family, I'm sure they were grateful for this action. There is absolutely no excuse for protesting at a man's funeral!!! Whether you agree with the war or not it's APPALING to disrupt a family in the process of burying a loved one. These types of protestor's should be treated to some REAL JUSTiCE.

I've never seen a war protester disrupt a soldier's funeral. You may be mistaking them for the God hates f@gs idiots. Now, if someone were charged with assaulting those funeral protesters, I would suggest the judge give the guy a freakin' medal.

By and large, we have laws against assault, though it is acceptable in very few instances (self-defense). A defendant is aquitted if it is believed they did not break the law, not whether or not the acted within acceptable limits of YOUR ideology. Btw, If you think war is so important, why aren't you in Iraq? That's right, another conserv hypocrite.

Have any protestors other than Jonesboro Church been disrupting funerals or is this just another right-wing thing where an extreme what-if is asked so they can all say how they think war protestors deserve to be beaten up?

Yes. I would acquit. In spite of Bush this is still a free country. The war is an illegal and immoral war. I say God bless the person who has the guts to stand up for our war dead by protesting their useless deaths.
