Dwarf hamsters are not very friendly, and they're also very fast...too fast to catch if they make an escape.
I had one, and it squeezed itself through the cage bars - that's how teeny they can make themselves.

Stick with Syrian hamsters. They're far friendlier. They say that male ones are the better pets.
I'm sorry it died...sometimes, they have heart attacks etc. Not your fault.

My dwarf hamster never screamed or squealed but it bit the cage bars a LOT!

Well I have had hamsters earlier than, they chunk on practically the whole lot. But, when you placed an empty bathroom paper roll in it is cage, it's going to love that. It can sleep in it, push it round for a laugh and chunk it to make a softer bedding for it is self. If you'll be able to discover somewhat reflect without a sharp edges, they like to appear at themselves in it. An empty smaller dimension kleenex field works well too, they may be able to disguise, sleep and play in that. I desire this helped. Oh, while you're taking it out of it is cage, make a maze from a few of your books and allow it paintings it is manner via it. It is a laugh for each you and it.

Hmmm, I don't know,
but are you sure he was dead?
I left the window above my Hamsters
cage open one Spring. I thought my
Hamster died that night, but It had hibernated.
I held him in my hands for awhile, and he woke up.

I had a Hamster like yours.
Always wash your hands before picking
them up.
As they get older the biting should stop,
or become light bites.

I had a Teddy bear Hamster to.
He didn't scream, but we did fuss. LOL
You would think he was human.
