Hi,

I'm meeting and old friend this summer and I'm already nervous about what to wear. I've changed a lot since I first met him; then I was a grungy, chubby teenager but now I'm slim, healthy, attractive, 21 year-old. Obviously clothing is the greatest way to emphasize this change but I have some problems.

I was in an accident a couple of years ago and I have scarring down both my legs and arms. I am very self conscious about this scarring and would prefer not to show it rather than wear makeup on it or even worse wear nothing on it.

How can I look summery and pretty yet still cover a fair amount of scarring? I really want to look amazing. Pictures would be fantastic.

Hey,

I suggest taking a look at some flowy, feminine, yet very summery dresses that have come out this season. There are many that hit between the knee and ankle, which would look fabulous teamed with a belt cinching the waist, some strappy greek-style sandals and a thin, light cardigan.

Also, like another person said, some skinny jeans, wife beater, cardigan or bolero and some cute ballet flats.

Goodluck hun, I'm sure he'll be happy to see YOU more than anything :)

From a Psychological perspective, Dressing him in a Snow White outfit at the age of two would be harmless. The child will not remember it at all, but will see the photographs later in life. It would be best to show the photographs to the child periodically, so it won't be a shock if he discovers it, at say 14-16 years of age... Then he would probably be a little angry at you, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal... Most of these answerers are blowing this way out of proportion!!! It is no more than a 5 hour period in the child's life and it is a halloween costume... It will be cute and even if another child makes a comment about it, just remind them it is Halloween! There would only be a problem is you countinuously dressed him as a female and treated him as such. He will not become gender confused or anything of that nature and it is ridiculous to make such an assupmtion. Have a happy Halloween. And don't let Snow White eat too much candy ;-)

Wear a light, airy but long bohemian style skirt. As for the top wear a 3/4 length sleeve top (make sure its tight to even out the flowiness of the skirt). But the main thing here is to ACCESSORIZE. Chandelier earrings, beaded necklaces, headbands, waist-cinch belts, and cute shoes will make your outfit spectacular. Have your makeup be natural and glowing and beautiful with light colors and/or gold. Make your hair really nice and you will sparkle!

Don't let your scars influence you that you cannot wear a shorter dress! Everyone legs aren't perfect, and if he is really a friend, who's to say he will care? If it really matters to you that they are covered I'd honestly put makeup on them. Buy a matching toned cover-up and apply it. And if it's still dress suggestions you want I'd go for something like this http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20060206/images/curr_reese180.jpg but I am not sure if that's long enough. Or perhaps this in a different color http://images.saksfifthavenue.com/images/products/04/755/4841/0475548417977/0475548417977_ASTL_300x400.jpg?

Take a look at all the long hippy style dresses in fashion now. You'll be sorted. Only you acn decide what suits you and you are comfortable in but you say your slim and attractive so you'd probably pull the look off easy. Long flowy skirts are lovely lovely, Unfortunately they make me look like a one of snowwhites dwarfs!
