not had a period for 9 weeks now, not pregnant, already had test for endemetriosis and i am clear. Recently had a large loop excision to remove non cancerous cells that were found during my smear. i have had bad smears since having my daughter in 2002 could this be related???

The doctor says she going to send me to see someone else as gynacolist said im clear and cant see anything wrong.

It's possible that a hormone imbalance could be causing some of this but the only way to know for sure is to have some blood tests such as for prolactin as one of the other posters suggested done. An endocrinologist (a dr who treats hormone disorders such as of the pituitary gland which can be caused by problems with prolactin levels) will try to help you figure this out.

Have they tested your prolactin levels? Not to worry you but a relative of mine has a brain tumour (not canerous or harmful though) and this caused her periods to stop completely and was not gynocologically based but hormonally based as the tumour is on her pituatury gland. There is a drug now available to treat this now on the market but think you should have all your hormone levels checked as they did not pick up on the brain tumour for around 2 years.

hey sweety , this could be nothing more than your system healing its self fully before you start your period , you might not be fully healed , so there for you haven't started yet , you might also be slightly anaemic or even the stress could be a factor , anyway i hope everything works out for you xxxxx

ps; ignore the idiots on here , they just do it to get a raise out of you ( there are some decent , helpful people on here)

I can't understand how people like you ask questions like this on the Yahoo Answers.

You will find out when your Doctor or Specialist sees you again.

This is the worst place for these kind of answers.
